"Can You Growl?"
One of us sure can't.
Happy Wednesday!
We’ve heard from so many of you lately that you just found HR Besties - and first of all, welcome. However you found us, and wherever you listen, we’re glad you’re here.
Every episode of HR Besties starts with a “watercooler” story - unforgettable and unbelievable moments from the workplace. And since we’ve got lots of new listeners (plus some longtime Besties who love a good rerun), our wonderful producer Carlay suggested we put together the Top 10 intro stories we’ve ever told. And, just like at work, we love a good idea (and love to give credit for them, too!)
This week’s episode is a little different: no Cringe Speak, no Hot Topic. Just a tribute to some truly wild moments that remind us how strange and wonderful the workplace can be.
Here’s what you’ll hear:
The office salad bar moment that led the a** itching hands
The time someone showed up completely pantless (and why they did)
The “gift” that caused one Bestie to realize that restaurants really need HR
A new holiday a co-worker created on the fly: Hide Your Kids at Work Day
A periscope that was never the same after one Bestie visited the office
The curious case of malicious salsa
An employee who growled…at people (and please join us in trying to growl)
A Plan B receipt that made its way into the HR file
And a coworker who thought ear licking was…fine?
Feel free to reply and let us know which one’s your favorite. We’ll be back next week with a regular episode, but in the meantime, this is a great one to share with a friend, binge during a road trip or use to feel better about your own worst days at work.

ChatGPT Prompts of the Week
Professional:
How can I incorporate fun into my role without crossing professional boundaries?
What are some resources (besides the HR Besties podcast) that I can use in my work? (and we hope ChatGPT recommends Jamie’s meme pages, Leigh’s toxic workplace survival and Ashley’s manager training courses)
Personal(ish):
If my role is [insert your role], what’s something I should definitely NOT do at work? (Maybe do this on your own non-company device 🙂)
Thanks for being part of the HR Besties crew. Whether it’s your first episode or your 111th, we’re glad you’re here. And we’ll be back next week with your full Besties breakdown.
Until next time, “Grrrrrrr”,
Your HR Besties
